Open Call: Aspire Higher seek STEM providers for their Summer School

The University of Bedfordshire Outreach Team are looking to work with two engaging and inspiring creative practitioners to support their Aspire Higher Summer School on the 2nd August 2017 at the University of Bedfordshire, Bedford Campus.

The theme is STEM so they are looking for interesting activities that related to Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (or a combination of these). There will be up to 80 Year 10 students taking part in the Summer School. They will be split into two groups of 40 for these workshops, and each practitioner will repeat one 90 minute workshop twice. If you have something whizz-banging to offer to help these young people to have fun and engage with the STEM subjects in a hands-on fashion then let us know!

The workshops will take place between 11am and 3pm (with an hour for lunch) on the 2nd August 2017. The fee for each practitioner can be up to £250 inclusive of VAT, materials, travel and prep.

This commission is funded by Aspire Higher at the University of Bedfordshire and brokered by The Culture Challenge. To make an expression of interest please email eleanorh@bedfordcreativearts.org.uk by the 7th July 2017 including your workshop idea, room requirements and fee. Applicants will be informed of the outcome by the 14th July 2017.
