Cultural Provider Showcase – Music & Performance

Cultural Provider OzzleBox

This month, we’re excited to bring our Culture Challenge music and performance providers into the limelight. Did you know that we have over ten performance venues listed across the region? Bedford Corn ExchangeMilton Keynes TheatreGrove Theatre and Luton Library Theatre, to name a few, are all  excited to be working with young people and schools in our locality.

By arrangement and for no charge, Bedford Choral Society generously invite schools to bring groups to listen to and experience the afternoon final rehearsal for a concert, usually at the Corn Exchange on the day of the performance. There is also a group discount booking available for schools to attend the evening concert too.

The dynamic Motus Dance offer one off skills workshops exploring contemporary dance and dance theatre techniques whether they are working with groups at the absolute beginner level or developing the skills of experienced professionals, and recently produced a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in Milton Keynes to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday.

If you’re looking to bring more music into the classroom, why not explore The Frogs’ Chorus, run by Kris, who boasts an Early Years Music Degree from Roehampton University UK, and has been a performing artist and writer for 30+ years.

So whether it’s OzzleBox and his human beatbox, Guinness World Record holder Skip Beatz or more traditional tales explored through the magical Theatre of Widdershins, we have a wealth of diverse music and performance providers ready to inspire and engage young people across Bedford, Milton Keynes, Luton and Central Bedfordshire.
