Open Call: Help Heronsgate’s children creatively explore the Great Outdoors

We would like to work with an artist who could help the children explore and enjoy the outdoor spaces we have here at Heronsgate, including (if appropriate) the wild meadow, pond and willow storytelling dome. Work doesn’t have to take place outside, although we would like the children to go outside for at least part of the day and we have a very well-equipped design and technology space including kiln that can be used on the day.

We would like the artist/s to work with the 12 children and 3 members of support staff for a full school day. Participants should explore the outdoors and create a piece of artwork inspired by nature. They should have fun and create something they are proud of using new skills. Ideally, the artwork might be displayed outdoors.

We would like this to happen on the 6th December. This opportunity is only open to Culture Challenge Practitioners. Please forward your expressions of interest to eleanorh@bedfordcreativearts.org.uk by the 17th November with a brief description of your nature-inspired art activity, and an indication of costs (inclusive of travel, prep, delivery and VAT).
