Soundhoppers: for Fun, Relaxation and Learning

Creating musical spaces and workshops in the community including Sound Journeys and Gong baths.
Available to run music workshops for children in schools, day centres, community groups and events.

Exploring sound is a particular realm of its own. Using a selection of culturally diverse instruments,  I aim to provide a comfortable atmosphere for fun and discovery. Focusing on the healing nature of sound and vibration, a number of learning avenues can be covered, including world awareness, historic, natural and cultural . I am at home with young and old and tailor the group work according to your needs. I have years of experience working with people with limited communications and have seen many magical moments of benefit with the medium of music.

With simple percussive arrangements, music and song is introduced in fun and therapeutic ways. The key focus is on Nature and our connection to the world around us. For young learners, noticing the natural world and learning about indigenous cultural traditions opens up whole new creative paths. I am happy to liaise with teachers and carers to create sessions that fit your needs.

Testimonials

We booked Soundhoppers for a large event for staff and students about celebrating diversity. I was delighted by the quality of the workshops Soundhoppers produced and all our students who attended gained some valuable information about instruments from around the world as well as the collaborative experience of making music together. I was impressed by Soundhoppers professionalism and their ability to include all the students irrespective of ability. All in all Soundhoppers provided a very creative and interesting workshop for our event which was enjoyed by all.

I just wanted to take the time to thank you both for your incredible work at Hill Fest. Everybody has mentioned how awesome the workshops were and how much enjoyment they took from talking with you and being involved in such a positive activity. We have been stopped in the street to thank us for your participation and the way you reached out to adults and children alike who usually don’t come forward and engage. You made it entirely a positive experience for all.
