The Higgins Bedford offers a treasure trove of ideas on your doorstep. Inspire your pupils with the fine art collection, the rich array of local history artefacts, archaeology and unusual objects from around the world. Our programme of Out of the Classroom Experiences for schools reflects the strengths of our collections. Familiar themes and activities are designed to make the most of our galleries.

Sessions are cross-curricular in their approach. Our ‘hands-on’ learning activities use handling objects, costumes, and replicas to stimulate pupils’ imagination.

We incorporate art and creative activities into any visit, as required. Visit our exhibitions or book a practical art session with us to extend your curriculum offer.

Feel free to email or call us to discuss the opportunities we can provide to engage and inspire your children.
