The Culture Challenge Peer to Peer Development Retreat

19th October 2017 – 10am – 3pm – The Chellington Centre

This day is for teachers and cultural providers who want to spend some time reflecting on their work with young people and the arts, with a particular focus on project design, funding and the easy integration of Arts Award. You are invited to join us for a day of reflection, peer to peer support and practical exercises designed to make your creative and cultural work with young people the best it can be.

All participants will explore practical approaches to designing impactful creative projects which both meet the needs of different stakeholders and are logistically manageable. We will also provide practical examples and resources for easily integrating Arts Award Discover into a range of creative projects. Together we will undertake a funding exercise using live funding opportunities resulting in a draft application from each attendee. The day will end with peer to peer sharing across the sectors and will provide useful insight on how the sectors of education and culture can work together to achieve the best outcomes for young people.

This event is free to all Culture Challenge providers and educational professionals working in Bedfordshire, but booking is essential. To ensure time and space for deep engagement there are only 12 places. Expect deep networking with professionals from both the arts and education settings. We aim for 50 / 50 representation from the cultural and education sectors.

To book a space, please email eleanorh@bedfordcreativearts.org.uk listing your name, what school / organisation you work for and your role within it, your contact details and your access and dietary requirements.
