Culture Vouchers in Milton Keynes Schools

We’re delighted to announce that after our recent call to Milton Keynes schools. We have been able to allocate £600 of Culture Vouchers, split between two schools – Caroline Haslett Primary School, who will be working with Pagrav Dance and St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School, who have chosen to invite Hannah Delaney.

Caroline Haslett Primary School are on a whole school journey to bring art and creative into the heart of their learning. They encourage all children who receive Pupil Premium funding to take part in artistic activities and all teachers are developing the curriculum to create more opportunities for arts. They are excited to be working with Pagrav Dance later this year.

St Bernadette’s School have chosen to work with Hannah Delaney for their key stage 2 pupils to explore the theme of courage through dance. Over the course of six weeks, each class will plan, refine and explore the value of courage under the guidance and expertise of a dance teacher.

We are thankful to Arts Gateway MK for funding these vouchers, enabling creative and cultural activities to take place in two lucky Milton Keynes schools and we’ll be sharing news of how they get on later this year.

Culture Vouchers work as a closed currency, awarded to schools to spend on the delivery of creative workshops with their pupils. They can be exchanged with any Provider listed on The Culture Challenge Directory when booking your workshop. Although we presently have no more Culture Vouchers available in Milton Keynes, we are currently fundraising for more opportunities later in 2019 so keep an eye on future newsletters to apply.
