DanceEast offering £500 bursaries

DanceEast has been running a range of innovative community projects for over thirty years, working with a range of partners on local, national and international projects and enjoy introducing people to dance for the first time as much as developing and refining skills in more experienced dancers.

Applications are now open for DanceEast 2019, with two regional platforms in the East, providing the opportunity to as many groups to apply and participate across the whole Eastern Region. DanceEast and the University of Bedfordshire will present two performance platforms:

  • Jerwood DanceHouse, Ipswich U Dance East Platform 02 March 2019
  • University of Bedfordshire, Bedford U Dance East Platform 09 March 2019

The judging panel will select groups from both regional platforms to go through to the National U.Dance National Festival 2019, which be delivered by One Dance UK between 20 – 21 July 2019 at the Southbank Centre, London. One Dance UK want to present youth dance that is high quality, innovative and ambitious – a celebration of youth dance!

Bursaries for 2019

DanceEast are pleased to be able to offer some financial assistance to groups to improve access to the U.Dance East Regional Platforms. Groups can apply for up to £500 in the form of a bursary. Find out more over on the DanceEast website.
