Free CPD sessions for teachers and providers in MK

We are excited to invite you to a series of free Continuing Professional Development sessions we are running for teachers and cultural providers in Milton Keynes in the coming months.

The Culture Challenge Milton Keynes and MAKE*: Creative Collaborations in Education 1 (Cancelled)

Content: This workshop is designed for teachers and creative or cultural practitioners interested in working collaboratively for the good of children and young people. Join Culture Challenge MK Co-ordinator Jo Atherton to explore the benefits of the education and cultural sector in working together, including the specific impacts on engagement and wellbeing. Critically evaluate three case studies together in order to ignite ideas about what may work in your setting and begin to scope out ways that you can improve your work with the other sector.  Expect a practical approach and to leave with facts, inspiration and some next steps to move your practice along.  This workshop is open to creative and cultural providers and teachers based in Milton Keynes and is capped at 12 places to ensure individual attention.

Course Content: This workshop is designed for teachers and creative or cultural practitioners interested in working collaboratively for the good of children and young people. Join Culture Challenge MK Co-ordinator Jo Atherton to explore the benefits of clear communication when working together, from first contact (marketing and writing briefs) to collaborative planning.  Communication tools and templates will be shared to support your work. Expect a practical approach and to leave with practical tools, inspiration and some next steps to move your practice along.  This workshop is open to creative and cultural providers and teachers based in Milton Keynes and is capped at 12 places to ensure individual attention.

Course Content: Join The Culture Challenge Team for a fast and effective collaborative creative workshop designed to practically move your practice along. Designed for a 50:50 mix of teachers and cultural providers this expertly facilitated speed dating session will enable you to define a tricky work-based problem relating to your work with children and young people and expose it to a wide range of perspectives. This peer-to peer approach also enables you to meaningfully engage with colleagues from both education and cultural sectors.  This tried and tested workshop model leaves you enthused, energized and brimming with new ideas. This workshop is capped at 12 to ensure sufficient attention and is open to 6 teachers and 6 cultural providers.
