Free Music and Nature Training for Year 3 Teachers from the RSPB

Meadowsong’ is a twenty-minute song cycle, composed by Kate Stilitz, which celebrates meadow habitats. It is an inspiring celebration of UK wildlife, and of the interconnectedness of all living things and has been commissioned by the RSPB and is offered, as part of a free training package to primary and lower schools in Bedfordshire.

Aimed at year 3 children and based around four songs, the ‘Meadowsong Programme’ offers children and the wider school community an opportunity to explore, discover and connect deeply with wildflower habitats and their wider environment through a combination of creative music, movement, visual arts, writing activities, science curriculum-linked lessons and first-hand experiences of nature.
