Grove Young Producers: new scheme for 16 – 25s

Have you ever wanted to write a play? Have you ever fancied directing or producing? How about creating a whole new piece of theatre?

Calling all budding producers, writers, directors, performers, artists and indeed anyone with a passion for being creative or organising events. The Grove Theatre is very excited to announce that they will be launching a new scheme to enable a group of young people aged 16 – 25 to create and produce a piece of theatre to be performed as a professional show in their venue.

You will have sole use of a space within the Grove Theatre to meet once a week to plan and rehearse and also the opportunity to work towards a Gold Arts Award which is a level 3 qualification (comparable to an A-level) and can earn you 16 UCAS points.

You may also have the opportunity to get involved in some of our existing projects such as the annual Grove Production Project, GD1, World Book Day and specialist workshops.

The sessions will be free to attend but you may be asked for a small donation towards refreshments each week. The sessions will take place Tuesday between 7:30pm – 9:30pm.

If you are interested in joining the scheme please contact Anna Elmore – Education Manager grove.education@sll.co.uk for further details on how to enrol.
