Job Opportunity: Bedford Creative Arts seeks Programme Producer
Organisation Name: Bedford Creative Arts
Salary Minimum: £30,000 (pro rata)
Salary Maximum: £33,000 (pro rata)
Region: East Midlands
Closing Date for Applications: 9am, Monday 27th January 2020

Bedford Creative Arts is seeking to recruit a creative individual to lead on the design of our ambitious artistic programme.

In this new role, the Programme Producer will be responsible for engaging with partners and communities to identify their needs and commission creative interventions that respond to them. This will result in a strategic programme of socially-engaged artistic projects and commissions.

This will involve responsibility for developing programme concepts, research, identifying and nurturing partners, engaging community participants, raising funds for projects, commissioning artists from a variety of disciplines, and recruiting project teams to deliver the programme.

Bedford Creative Arts is an arts charity that has been producing participatory arts projects for more than 30 years that explore issues of social justice, challenge the status quo and raise questions that have the potential to influence practice and policy-making. We are a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England and a leading regional provider of cultural education projects alongside our ambitious programme of community commissions.

The role is not required to undertake project delivery; instead developing and resourcing an engaging programme of collaborative artworks, and then commissioning a team of freelance producers and project managers to action their delivery.

You will oversee artist development to ensure that projects nurture the talented creative and delivery personnel required to deliver them. This will require excellent interpersonal skills and creativity, as well as experience of fundraising and producing to take projects from inception to launch.

This is a new role in the organisation and presents an exciting opportunity for a post-holder to grow in the role and shape the future of our programme.
