As an artist and teacher I specialise in running art and craft workshops for children. I run Saturday morning workshops at The Place Theatre, Bedford, parent and child workshops for under 5s, and after school clubs. My company Creative Days has been operating for five years over which time I have developed a large portfolio of successful projects which cover all elements of the art curriculum and can be differentiated for all ages and abilities. I also work with the elderly and offer bespoke workshops for parties, adults and corporate events.

I am passionate about promoting the importance of art and creativity in every childs development and ensure that the activities I offer are completely inclusive.

I enjoy working closely with the changing seasons and the world around us, taking inspiration from different artists and cultures and exploring a wide variety of materials and techniques. I am happy to offer projects of my own or work with a theme provided by your school, be it pure art or cross curricular. I have a degree in Fine Art and Metalwork, a PGCE in Art education and have also studied Art Therapy.

Before moving to Bedford and founding Creative Days, I taught art for four years at a comprehensive school in London. I have three children of my own, the youngest of whom has Downs Syndrome.

Philippa worked alongside us to create an engaging display in our new building in order to make the space welcoming and to reflect our values and Church school ethos . We now have brightly-coloured, Matisse-inspired vinyl panels in our entrance and a Garden of Edeninspired ‘Tree of Life’ on our worship wall in our hall, which provides a stunning focal point for collective worship. Philippa worked enthusiastically alongside us to develop an artistic solution for our spaces and then ran workshops with children across KS2 to create the art work. Philippa was professional, accommodating to our requests and worked extremely hard in order to create the shared art work. The children had a brilliant day working with Philippa and the end result for our school is stunning
