We are a fully functional theatre based in the town centre. We provide a wide range of professional touring productions as well as local home-grown productions (both school and community produced). We offer a concessionary rate on all tickets for students and we offer a further reduction for school groups.

We are also starting a youth theatre in September. This will be free and open to all young people from Bedford and the surrounding villages. Entry will be through audition and there will be 3 age groups: 14 – 16, 16 – 18 & 18 – 25. The sessions will be weekly in term time and will take place on a Sunday afternoon/evening.

“Part of my job is to arrange trips, hence bringing our students to Bedford School. The process was always easy with helpful people in the box office, and nice to be able to put faces to names when we visited.  Looking forward to many more ventures” JAMES DOUGHTY – DRAMA & MEDIA TECHNICIAN: MARK RUTHERFORD SCHOOL

Costs: Ticket prices are kept to a minimum and range from £4 - £14 depending on the size or scale of a performance. We host a number of workshops throughout the year that are open to other schools. On September 24, for example, we will be hosting a play for young people and a talk for parents on the subject of drugs education entitled, ‘Mum Can you Lend Me 20 Quid?’ this will be offered free to local schools.

Tickets for talks & workshops will vary but would range from £2.50 - £5 per participant
