Shires Rep Theatre has at core a desire to perform and share our passion for classical and contemporary theatre and literature with the next generation in educational settings across the Shires. Our well-structured and rigorously researched workshops use professional performance to breathe life into literature; simultaneously engaging students with the breadth and depth of themes and issues such texts present.
Through participation students gain inspiration and develop further knowledge, confidence and skills to further improve their attainment and aspirations. All of our bespoke workshops are tailored to meet the specific outcomes of your examination board specification, unit and entrance tier. Indeed, we can design and deliver workshops to suit all levels of the Edexcel, AQA and OCR GCSE and GCE Advanced level English Literature/Language and Drama/Theatre Studies specifications.
We currently offer our innovative and enriching performance workshops for those studying at key stages 3, 4 and 5. We can create and deliver a workshop based on any set text, unit or brief as per your objectives and outcomes; alongside those based on any current, past or forthcoming Shires Rep production.
All our workshop leaders are arts educational practitioners or qualified teachers who have a wealth of experience delivering literacy and drama workshops to students of all ages. In addition, we also work with trained theatre professionals who have an abundance of knowledge and passion for the field.
Ideal age range: 11-25 years old
Our workshops cost between £600 - £1250 for a half day depending upon the workshop/performance ratio. This cost includes all materials, facilitation and actors.
