Providing performing arts workshops for people with disabilities and additional needs.

Our aim is to enable participants to develop their self-esteem and self-expression through dance, drama and singing. We keep numbers low but energy high in our accessible, friendly and sensory workshops!

Alongside Spectrum’s weekly out-of-school clubs we also offer bespoke workshops for schools, such as:

  • Standalone sessions as part of a fun day, or part of a term’s planning
  • Weekly or termly rolling sessions
  • After school or lunch dance/drama/performing arts clubs
  • One-off curriculum-based workshops
  • Workshops to help develop social skills and read emotions
  • Well-being workshops
  • Sensory storytelling
  • six-week block of transition workshops

Testimonials:

Spectrum Community Arts has been delivering enrichment activities to pupils at The Chiltern School. Jade provides a bespoke opportunity for all pupils to thrive; all pupils are included and given the encouragement to be self-expressive and creative. The sessions are full of energy, adaptive, inclusive and most of all fun, pupils don’t fail to finish the session with a smile. Jade creates a learning environment that enables communication, emotional well-being and physical development, her own enthusiasm for the arts is infectious and our pupils love attending the sessions.”  – Lisa Leonard, Headteacher, The Chiltern School, July 2019

Jade has been an absolute asset to Fulbrook and the SEND Team. For the past 18 months, she has been working with vulnerable pupils, creating a safe and fun environment where they can express their emotions and develop their communication skills. Jade’s sessions are bespoke to us – she is always willing to adapt her sessions to suit the cohort in front of her… The pupils really enjoy working with Jade; she is understanding, motivating and her enthusiasm is infectious.  – Justine McQuillan, SEND Co-ordinator, Fulbrook Middle School, June 2019
