Securing Cultural Capital in education – OFSTED, Artsmark and Beyond

On Tuesday 18th June between 4.15 and 5.45, you are invited to the BACE Schools Network meeting, open to all staff working in education at any age phase.

This session will be led by the Chair of Bedford Arts and Cultural Education Partnership (BACE), Bedford Creative Arts (BCA) and Royal Opera House Bridge. We will be will be highlighting the importance of securing cultural capital in education and discuss how to create whole school change in this area whilst focusing on your key priorities.

This will be an opportunity to find out more about how schools can develop their arts and cultural provision to respond to the new OFSTED consultation and discuss how they can use the arts to impact on whole school change.

 

There will also be opportunity to hear from Bedfordshire Music Service on the ways in which they have been working with schools in the region.

The session will take place on Tuesday 18th June between 4.15pm- 5.45pm at The Quarry Theatre at St. Luke’s Peter’s, 26 St. Peters Street, Bedford, MK40 2NN.

BACE Schools Network is an education network opened to all staff working in education at any age phase.

Through the termly meetings, we aim to:

  • Support school to school networking opportunities
  • Develop understanding of local educational needs
  • Provide CPD opportunities
  • Develop understanding of local and national cultural providers who could support you with your key priority areas.
