Spend your Green Coins in Waitrose Ampthill with Culture Challenge this October

We are delighted to have been chosen to be one of 3 charities for Octobers ‘Community Matters’ green coin scheme by Waitrose Ampthill. A fund of £1000 will be split between three equally worthy causes and shoppers of the superstore will chose the percentage each charity gets by voting with their green token.

This funding will be transformed into Culture Vouchers for Central Bedfordshire Schools helping us achieve our goal that sure all children and young people in Bedfordshire have access to the arts. We believe that all children are entitled to culture and we work with their schools to make this happen. The Culture Challenge distributes Culture Vouchers to schools in need.

These vouchers can be spent with local theatres, museums, or with local artists and other creative people. Culture Vouchers offer schools a way to ensure that all young people can participate in arts and culture, regardless of social or economic background. We support schools to meet the most pressing needs for their pupils, be it academic achievement or wellbeing in creative ways.

The Culture Challenge encourages schools to engage with the wealth of cultural activity in their local area, urges cultural providers to be ready for young people and applauds children and young people who want to explore art and culture for themselves.

Thank you to Waitrose for choosing us. Please do bear us in mind if you pop into Ampthill Waitrose.
