Teachers’ CPD Music Weekend

Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is pleased to welcome back the Musicians’ Union for their biennial Teachers’ Continued Professional Development Weekend.

Designed for music education specialists, teachers and practitioners, the weekend is an opportunity to meet, share skills and practice. Taking place in the Laban Building in Deptford, expect fascinating debates, dynamic workshops, and valuable 1-1 surgeries; all while making music and networking with colleagues from across the UK.

The Musicians’ Union and Trinity Laban are pleased to announce that Nitin Sawhney will be presenting the Keynote address for the 2018 Teachers’ CPD weekend. Recipient of the 2017 Ivor Novello Lifetime Achievement Award, Sawhney is an artist, producer, songwriter, club DJ, broadcaster, multi-instrumentalist, orchestral composer and cultural tastemaker.

The programme includes a range of activities including panel discussions, a variety of case studies featuring the London Early Years Music Network, discussions around the gender gap and Fairbeats!, an approach for working with refugees and asylum seekers.
