The Widdershins present Rumplestiltskin

The Theatre of Widdershins announce two exciting productions they have coming up, available to schools.

Snow White, Rose Red, Bear Brown

Snow White and Rose Red – sisters, twins, best friends – have lived in the forest since they were Babes in the Wood.  Bought up by their hardworking Mother to be kind, caring and forest fluent.

When their quiet life is interrupted by a friendly bear a new chapter begins.  But why has the bear chosen them as playfellows?  Why is there sadness in his eyes?  And who on earth is that rude little man with a ridiculously long beard that they keep bumping in to?

All questions will be answered by Professor of Gnomology – Andromedus Silverbeard –  using puppets, storytelling, and original music.

Suitable for ages 4 and up, £300 + VAT per school performance

Rumplestiltskin

Poor Polly Buckwheat, the Miller’s daughter, is in a bit of a pickle! If she doesn’t turn a roomful of straw into gold by morning, the greedy King will turn a bit nasty. But should she accept the kind help of an eccentric dwarf who mysteriously appears in her prison cell?

Of all the fairytale characters, Rumpelstiltskin has got to be the most mixed up. He is helpful yet demanding; secretive yet nosy; short yet owning a name as long as his beard. Not surprisingly, this story of transformation will make you laugh and gasp at the same time!

Using its trademark puppets, music, storytelling and transforming sets, Widdershins aims to create gold on stage with this new version of the Grimm’s classic tale. The price of a school performance is £300 + VAT
